Alternative use for Monopod!

Fix monopod to camera, set up for self timer, turn camera upside down and rest on the toe of your shoe for that ultra low shot!
That’s how I took this photo C&C welcome.

It's a good way of getting those low shots without getting your belly wet thats for sure.

Some tripods do do the low angle thing too

Re: Alternative use for Monopod!

Thanks for the tip, I love low angle stuff, and this might be easier than fripping the head of my manfrotto.

The only probelm is - how do you frame your shot? or do you take a chance. I find it difficult enough to do when I have it reverse mounted on the tripod. Perhaps this is where live view woudl be helpful

Re: Alternative use for Monopod!

Even with live view how do you get that low??, the LCD is not mobile

My wifes Canon Sureshot A95 has a very versatile LCD which makes this sort of thing easier but I imagine taking a chance.. or using a UWA lens low is the other way to do it

Must confess Liquid, the photo’s not as it came out of the camera!
