A collection of photos

A friend of mine on Flickr recently set up a group where he plans to showcase a photographer each week in a mini-exhibition. This week I was flattered that he chose me

- I say flattered because I don't think my photos are anywhere near as good as the photographer he chose for the first week.

Anyway, if you're interested in having a look then they can be found at the link below, although I think you have to "Join the group" before it will show you the discussion threads where the collections reside.

I'd recommend joining, as last week's exhibition was really excellent (I won't comment on mine

) and the "curator" does a good job of selecting a small collection of interesting photos. Having your own photos chosen by someone else is also a strange experience, he certainly picked a number of photographs that I hadn't initially thought very appealing at all...

Ooooh look, Scott (the guy who started the group) has made a cool poster from one of my photos... If you like the idea of promoting the group, feel free to upload it to your own photostream.

Oh and remember to go back each week, Scott was saying there's no way that he can message group members when a new exhibition is up, so people will just have to remember - he aims to put them live regularly every Monday morning.

This is a really good idea for a group in flickr. And I don't know why you think your photos aren't worthy to be given this treatment because they are great. The ones he's chosen for the thread work really well. A great collection.

There's a new exhibition up for those who are interested (remember you have to join the group to see the exhibitions).

This time it comes from a surrealist photographer/artist - well worth looking at if you ask me, his work is like nothing I've seen on Flickr before:

It is Jon.

I know Scott puts the new Novel Gallery cover in his photostream so it shows up in contact's new photos but the Novel Gallery logo isn't that obvious in the little thumbnail.
