Scoopt/Getty - sales figure received

Just got notification from Kyle @ Scoopt that I've got US$346 for my pics so far. Getty dont give any details of where they have been published, and I expect that at the Getty rates this is probably 2 or 3 pics sold. Rates depend on the circulation of the publication, the size etc.

Eclipses Fotolia by some margin :-)

More money towards the 1D3

Not sure which ones they are yet but it's general news editorial stuff. However, you can go here and search "Andrew Tobin" and you'll find them. A couple of the pics have been taken off though which I think means that they have been sold as exclusives and are no longer available.

Ta h4rri - tbh anyone could take the pics I did - I dont claim any stunning photographical talent for them at all. Blagging skills are useful though

The money is actually coming into my limited company which I have for some other stuff that I do, but which I've decided to expand into a photography company. The Fotolia sales go in there as well.

Having the company VAT registered is especially useful. The Getty sales also add legitimacy to my business photographic activities enabling the purchase of said Canon 1D3 with VAT reclaim and associated depreciation. Thankfully, revenues are not outstripping costs yet so no corporation tax to pay for the time being

. Unfortunately, the revenues aren't enough for a Canon 1D3 either (by some margin) but one can but hope....

Obviously the money's not bad but if I'm being honest I actually expected you to make a bit more than that? Not that I'd be complaining tbh but just my thoughts considering that you'd sold a couple of exlusive licenses.

You don't want a 1D MIII anyway you want a 1Ds MIII!!!!
