nice pic, could of possibly been improved by getting down and dirty at the birds level, what is it?, looks young and petrified

I looked out the conservatory & there were these 4 young Thrush's (I think). As I approached with my camera 3 flew off so I took a few inside the conservatory through the glass. I managed to slowly put the key in the door,(getting dirty looks from the Thrush). When it looked the other way I slowly opened the door (how noisy is a door opening when you don't want it to) Then I took a series of photo's until my dog came & scared it away, so the option of anything but leaning at a strange angle was out. Never mind.

PS the Thrush was young & healthy. I have some nice shots from side on but a side on Thrush is a side on Thrush.
