Looks like one of my images is to be published

I had this email last week:

Hi Steve,

I'm looking for good images by Canon photographers for a gallery in our new photography magazine called PhotoPlus. The first issue of PhotoPlus goes on sale on 27 Sept and it will be published in the UK by Future Publishing, who already publish Digital Camera magazine. We're potentially looking at printing one of your images in the Your Photos gallery where we ask one of our panel of photography experts to give you some positive feedback on the image(s).

I saw your nice 'Seated' image on flickr and was wondering if you’d be able to email a hi-res version?.............

So, I sent the images off as requested and I had another email today saying that they were hoping to use the image in one of the next three issues of the magazine.

Yep, I told her and then made her take a portrait shot of me as they requested one of those too. I was going to ask Gordon to do it with all his fancy flash stuff at the weekend but I got too excited and couldn't wait

Well done Steve, that is a terrific photo and it deserves to be published, to me its been one of the best photos i have seen on here

I reckon it will be the 1st of many for you!

Did they mention about paying you to use it? When one of mine was used in Practical Photography a cheque for £60 came through the door - that was a nice surprise.

My initial thought was to ask for payment, but then I decided that I would be more than happy for them to use it and I would be grateful for the comments from the 'experts', especially as I am considering having it printed for entry into the camera club print competitions this season.

I'm not sure about it being Canon only, though the writer in the email said that she was specifically looking at images taken by Canon users........maybe it's sponsored

Apparently there is a supplement in this months 'Digital Camera' magazine and the first 'lone' issue of the PhotoPlus magazine will be out on September 27th.
