I am going to a dutch music festival in a couple of weeks and they have just announced on their website in the house rules section that cameras with removable lenses are not allowed. This has really annoyed me as one of the things I enjoy at festivals is capturing photos of the bands and the atmosphere of the weekend.

I am now in a dilemma. Should I take a camera with one lens attached and hope I dont get found out on the way in? If I do I will claim ignorance and say I was not informed directly about this and see if I can blag my way in?

As a backup their are supposed to be lockers available on the campsite which in theory I could store my camera in for the weekend should they not let me in. I cannot however guarantee getting one of these lockers which would mean leaving the cam in the tent for the weekend.

I am a little annoyed to say the least and has put a slight downer on the whole thing for me. I cant understand why in the current situation where more and more consumers are buying SLR cameras they are not allowed. I have taken it with a bag full of lenses to every other festival I have been to with not problem at all.

also, would like to hear from anyone who has been to the festival before (lowlands) and whether people do have SLR's inside. Apparently the rule has been in place for a few years so wanted to know if it is one of those rules that is their but never enforced.
