Hi All,

Thinking of getting a Hoya Pro1D circular polarising filter. However looking on UK websites they are £120 for a 77mm variant.
However I could get one from HK through Ebay for about £30 (Linky)

Whaddya reckon?

Hmmm, I suppose for that money its not a major financial risk....however, I was always told if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

Looks dodgy to me. They do have a lot of good feedback, but the negative suggests it may be difficult to sort out if something is wrong with the filter and there is a neutral feedback complaining that the item sent wasn't genuine.

hm, could be okay. be aware that in particular filters (like most other accessories) are way overpriced in 'ROB'.

I've bought a 67 mm Pro1D UV from these guys

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HOYA-77mm-PRO1...QQcmdZViewItem

and a 67mm B+W KSM CPL from here

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/B-W-77mm-Kaese...QQcmdZViewItem

both seem absolutely fine (I'm no expert in fake filters mind.) and were much cheaper than over here.

I use onestop-digital, Hoya CP filter 72mm for £24 delivered; half UK price and a reputable dealer. The 77mm version is £26 so still a bargain. Doesn't look like they do the 'Pro' version though.
