Two Images , But can't Decide...Which one.

Hi there, I have two images, but can not decide which one to entry in a fun competiton, with the theme of''Going Coastal''.
Your views good, bad, and ugly, are most welcome.

Second link doesn't work. But I really love the first one! Maybe it's a bit flawed because of two main focal points (fisherman & girl), but other than that, well composed & great colours!

Makes me want to be on the waves right this moment... have to wait for the summer holidays to come...

I can't see second either. I would say that I actually find the large expase behind her quite off putting. Cropping the right hand side away, from where the building roof can be seen in very very far distance, would make it more appealing to me. Having said that it's a stonking photo as it is.

The first one is definitely the nicer and more technically sound photograph. A shade more contrast might help though.

The secon one seems to be distorted slightly (vertically stretched) Perhaps when you resized it you didn't keep the proportions locked.

I much prefer the second. The first looks a lighter on the right hand side which I think detracts. The second, IMO, would benefit from a crop top and bottom, that would put the cloud line on a strong third and place the two subjects in the bottom right third. Great colours

Hmmm - both have their merits. The first one was more appealing to me - there's just something about sunsets and photography that make me turn off slightly, I think I've just seen a lot!

I agree with the others about the amount of space behind the subject, but it's got more impact for me. It makes me want to be there more than the second.

Nice shots though

I like both TBH
but perhaps like tryingtimes Ive see a few too many sunsets and it has to be really special to merit a second / third look

Pic 2 seems to have too much sky showing, if the camera was pointed about 3-5cm downwards it would have been a cracking shot.

Just my opinion others may disagree.

Still a nice shot though

#2 for the colour.
