Revisiting Old Photos

I was just going through some old photos today and started processing them in a different way to how I had originally and the results are very interesting as it's like looking at completely new photos again. How many of us take a photo, process it and than just accept that this is how the photo will always look? From these initial experiments I think I may revisit more of my older work.

Anyway, not sure I've ever shown any photos here before, here are a couple of the photos I've 'revisited' which were actually the very first photos I took with my, then new, Canon 30D.

Worthing Pier one morning in December

Another of Worthing Pier. I couldnt decide at the time if I wanted someone in the shot or not so shot both, but I think it needs someone there after all.

Save Britain's Fish. On Worthing beach local fisherman sell their daily catch but their industry is in serious decline.

As always C&C's are welcome

Re: Revisiting Old Photos

Lovely shots, got the originals?

I quite often go back through shots and re-do them either for different effects or to apply newly aqcuired skills.

Re: Revisiting Old Photos

Some nice images, the topic about having another look is quite good. I have well over 3,000 images from my camera on my machine. Not all make it, over the last few days due to having no camera currently I have been doing the odd checking on my archive.

Below is some of my images that I have over looked. All from New York 2006

All have links back to my Flickr page.

Nice shots Peakoverload. I do this all the time, I find that as you get more experience with processing images you are able to improve on what you've done before or even get something usable out of an image you'd previously discarded - one reason why I don't delete images unless there is something seriously wrong technically - I might be able to save it in the future!
