Nice poppy's!!

#1 has a nice depth to it. I might have been tempted to pull out that blade of grass that sticks out though as it detracts a bit.

#2's really nice with that poppy in the lower left third pointing to you. I might have been tempted to have a slightly higher camera so that I could get slightly more field and thus reduce the sky to conform to the rule of thirds. Also that grass again!!!

Any chance you braketed these two? I ask because the sky in them is quite over exposed. I does appear to have some nice detail in it though that might help the image. If you did bracket you can merge the two exposures using a graudated layer mask. Alternatively you may be able to recover some detail from the RAW file by setting the exposure of it down.

You can then save this as a jpg and then merge it with the original RAW.

Let me know if you need any more help with this etc etc.

#1 Lovely shot although seems to have lost a lot of detail in the sky perhaps a filter needed ?

#2 Same as #1

#3 Not for me....overcooked it IMO

#4 + #5 Great shots but seem to be caught in the middle of being a silhouetted landscaped although detail is still visible, so IMO if you're intention was to dilute the detail or bring it out then perhaps a little dodge and burn would of been necessary

Dodge and burn. Yeah, I did do a bit, but felt that I didn't want to lose everything in there, probably should've gone for some more.

3) Know exactly what you mean, but, believe it or not.....I actually quite like the sort of "Punk LP Cover" effect. Not that I can think of a punk band who ever used poppies on their sleeve!!!

Now, Bracketed? Er......... Eh?

Excuse my numptiness, but I really have no idea if I did or didn't as I don't know what that is.
