I'm interested in maybe buying the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 12 megapixel camera when it's released in July. I was just wondering if someone could estimate the retail price for the camera, as if it's gonna be too expensive I may aswell look elsewhere.

Look at the Panasonic DMC-TZ3 for now. Megapixels mean nothing unless you are printing humungous sized images.

I'm considering it because it has "high-def" video recording on it, of sorts.

15 frames per second, normal TV has 25 frames per second I think, if you want video get a video camera - thats my view of it.
