Like most of us I've bought and read just about every photo mag going but in the last year or so I've really cut back on the mags I buy and have whittled it down to three.
Digital Camera Magazine: In truth the main reason I buy it is because I like the amount of reader involvement in it i.e. there are loads of oppurtunities to get your photo published, which I've been luck enough to do 3 or 4 times. It's also the only mag I subscribe to but in truth the only reason I'm still subscribed to it is because I keep forgetting to cancel it. It's not a bad mag but it is a little too simplistic for me.
Practical Photography: If you want to know how to take better photographs than this is the mag you should buy. I havent yet subscribed to it but that's only because I keep holding out for a decent subscription gift

. This is really the only mag I read from cover to cover every issue and I buy every issue.
Digital Photo: The sister magazine of Practical Photography. I personally think that these two mags make an unbeatable combination as although Digital Photo does have some good technique articles it really excells at the Photoshop side of things. Again the only reason I haven't yet subscribed to this mag is because I keep holding out for a decent subscription gift

. Although I may not read it cover to cover I read 90% of it and buy every issue.
