Peacock at Kew Gardens

Evening all,

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I went to Kew Gardens today and came across a Peacock showing off its full plumage. When it shook its feathers, it sounded very similar to a rattle snake so I was slightly wary to begin with - I wasn't sure if it was warning me to stay away!

Anyway, thought I'd share a few images with everyone:

Behind the Scenes

I'll add a few images from Kew to my photo album, but the full set (Approx 20 photographs) can be found here if you're interested: Kew Gardens.

Cheers.

Great stuff, almost hypnotic ... look into my eyes, look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into my eyes

Lovely colours

Very nice - sharp and great colours. You've done well to fill the frame with peacock too.

Re: Peacock at Kew Gardens

Thanks for your comments everyone. It was a great experience to see such a wonderful bird so close up.

I'm thinking of going to the Hawk Conservancy in Hampshire at some point. Has anyone been before? I think I'll need to practice my panning shots first though as I've not done much of that yet.

Cheers.
