Re: Peace Lily shot on the A100

It's a bit too central for my liking, especially with the lovel bokeh that is evident around it. Nice and sharp though and the colours like quite natural.

Nice shot there, Zargone. Exif data is embedded, looks to F4.5 at 100mm. Can I ask what lens you were using; was it the Sony/Minolta 100mm Macro by any chance?

Re: Peace Lily shot on the A100

It is a lovely flower. I wish we were more green-fingered. Ours hasn't flowered so far this year.

Have you tried to use a reflector to bounce light from the left side of the flower in an attempt to reduce the shadow?

Cheers.

Re: Peace Lily shot on the A100

yes mate it was shot with the Minolta 100mm macro on the Sony alpha a100. I just got the camera as I already had a Minolta with quite a few lenses.

Re: Peace Lily shot on the A100

It is a very nice Shot and the Frame works very well too
A bit less central would have been better but that is nitpicking

How exactly? .. Was it a preset or did you make it?

I notice the Image keeps its EXIF, this doesn't always happen when extensive editing has occurred

Re: Peace Lily shot on the A100

Hi it is a preset frame and there are many, I use photoshop CS3. open an image then in the workspace to the top right look for actions which has a simble like a play button on a tape deck, click and a menu opens, in the menu you will see two arrows top right pointing right & an arrow under it pointing down click arrow then click frames you should then have a list of frames have a mess about with them. have fun, hope this helps.
