Grand Parents 60th Wedding Anniversery

Heya guys, on the 24th its my Nan and Granddads 60th (Diamond Wedding) Anniversery but we had a party round there local pub as it has a room that you can reserve for stuff like that (Cant remember technical name lol).

Long story short my dad wanted me to go so I could take some pictures (Didnt even pay me the tight git ) and even though I havent bought anything like Flash Gun or additional Lenses (Still on Stock Gear) I managed to get quite a few pictures off (Spent the last hour getting rid of Red Eye for some reason some people never had it but some did so I am guessing that the flash is pretty weak on the camera in low light).

Ok maybe not so short lol I think the pictures came out pretty good seeing as I am not used to this type of stuff and there were a few shots of their cake I wouldnt mind taking 1 out to work on and wanted opinions on what you thought would be the best to work with (Bearing in mind they will look a bit off because of the 800x600 thing).

Re: Grand Parents 60th Wedding Anniversery

If the pictures were like the ones posted.. I think some work in PS or Elements 5 will do the trick in going from OK to good and from Good to great

The last one has its WB all wrong. If you took RAW it would be easy to correct.. If not , you could try using the colour cast within Elements

Lastly, dont be put off by the 800 pixel thing.. you can put a small one here and link to a larger one in Flickr

Well done for rising to the challenge.. it can be quite daunting

Re: Grand Parents 60th Wedding Anniversery

I did RAW the last shot and took a picture of something white as soon as I got there but didnt realise I never set it as the custom white balance

But wanted opinions on what was the best overall shot so I can give that the full attention.

After messing about with the others I am getting a bit quicker with CS2 but still need practise on the more advanced stuff but I am getting there, slowly but surely.

We left about 12:45AM and my brother in law had to go back to london this morning and he said about 30s walk up the road someone got murdered between 12-2AM

Re: Grand Parents 60th Wedding Anniversery

In terms of the above three, the middle one seems to have the most potential
