most haunted

hi, im a big fan of the program most haunted. took some pictures earlier this year of greenan castle and mucked about a bit with them. would love comments ... one is the original and the other is altered.... any comments welcome..i never know whether they r ok or i should just leave well alone.
thanks. i have printed the altered one and it looks good on paper.

I like the altered one.

The crop works well and the "halo" effect around the castle certainly gives it a spooky feel.

Id like to see it with a bit more contrast - I think it would suit the mood you were trying to create. It appears a little soft - but maybe that was the look you wanted?

nice subject

would have been a nice entry into last months 'over the edge' contest
spooky place....not into Dereck o'crossword and Evette Fieldmouse myself though

Karenc, I think the PP has made it very Most Haunted but I hope you don't mind, I took what allie5 said and did this just using Picassa.


Unfortunately the straightening has cropped it even tighter but I think the contrast boost and one click of sharpen has made a difference. Using the original as a starter you could probs do alot better.

Oh, and Trev. For someone who's not into it you seem pretty au fait with the protagonists .

thank you allie and denno for your comments....i like the new look. i downloaded picasa2 2 days ago , so im just getting to grips with what it can do,,i have a few sunset pictures and only found out that you can straighten the horizon there too. so i think its time to start playing with my pics a bit . i didnt realise there was so much to do there...thanks for your help: i also have a lot of black and whites which i reckon i can do a lot with there too,.thanks
