Quality images. Congratulations. I particularly like the night shot of Lincoln Cathedral and Ron, Food Time!! Lovely detail in that one. Made me smile too.

Cheers!

I'm really rather new to all this. I'd like to think I'm creative, although nowhere near as much as the rest of you!!

I'm loving taking photos though!

Re: Rip me to pieces then!

Some nice pic's there mate. Even the ones with the Digimax. The Lincoln Cathedral night shot would have been a worthy entry in to the photo competition a couple of months back. Btw, what lenses are you using with the Sony?

The Bolsover one of the window on stairs I really like. Also your last Angel picture on second page is a cracker.

Yep the others have picked some good pictures out. I really like 'sky' too.
'need to talk' would make a great subject fo this month's comp.

Re: Rip me to pieces then!

Great sky in "sky" - you might find it useful to use that sky in other pics when there aren't any clouds about. Not overly keen on the depth of field shots of the trees - good experimentation but dont show much of interest. The last "angel" shot would be great if you'd got it's left wing in the frame - pretty cool otherwise.

Your B&W shots need more contrast or tonal range. They look like straight desaturation conversions. Check out some of these excellent examples.

Top stuff though - are you in the competition this month? If not you've got a week or so left so let's have an entry!

Thanks everone for the comments!

Just want to spend all my time snapping away now!

Strobe - Just using kit lense at the mo.

Tobers - "Your B&W shots need more contrast or tonal range" Excuse my ignorance....... How would I go about putting that right? (I am absolutely useless with PS!!)

Re: Rip me to pieces then!

If you want some good quality 'cheap' extra lenses, have a look out on ebay for the Minolta 50mm F1.7 AF and the Minolta 70-200 F4 (known as the 'beercan'). There are loads of the 50mm F1.7's on ebay and they usually go for around £70 odd. The 'beercan' is usually a bit more expensive but you can usually pick one up for £100 odd.

Just checked out your pics. You certainly get around!!

Some great ones there. Like the Lincoln Cathedral one. I was there myself a few weeks back, the first time since a school trip in 1984! Lovely place.

Re: Rip me to pieces then!

I need to get my mitts on an A100. Underated IMHO, and with the legacy KM lenses, one heck of a system.
