I thought my favourite picture(s) would come from my 30D, but no, my Casio EX-Z70 has shone well. The pictures aren't anything special, I just particularly like them.

If I'm not mistaken, that's Northampton Town Hall, I live just down the road in Wellingborough

Really nice clarity and resolution from a compact there, I'm impressed.

Re: My favourite picture, and it's a compact!

Compacts can be surprisingly good really, especially some of the old 35mm compacts. I had a Samsung Vega 77i 35mm compact back around 2000 and I assumed the shots from it were pants because the prints came back rather rough, but scanning them in showed that it actually had a pretty good quality lens as the shots came out quite well.

...unfortunately I ebayed it when I went digital but now wish I still had it.

I took this with it but need to re-scan it as this was scanned on my old crummy Canon FS-2710:

on the Paignton to Kingswear railway in Devon.

It had a panoramic mode where blinds flipped out to cover part of the film (not very straight though!), which was fun to play with.

Heh, right you are! The bright one is the Guild Hall and the dark one is the church. Very strange though, although I suppose there are people from all over the UK here. :D

Fozzy, that picture looks lifted straight out of a book. Very nice.
