Due to moving house, I've not posted for ages...

Only now do I have time to sift through my 2006 aviation pictures, and this is my best of 2006....

Critique/comments welcome

Hey Steve..

I'm soooo behind with everything photographic..

Still, I plan to be taking the 2007 airshow season with a 400D, unless somthing newer comes up before May..
I took the Mustang pic last October, only recently started editing my entire 2006 collection..

Now, where did I put those 755 Spitfire pics...

300D (soon to be 400D) Canon 100-400L and kit lens, and yup...all handheld

Cracking shots - watching one of those babies coming towards you through a 400mm with a Merlin growling in your ear must be quite something. I'm sure i'd forget to pull the trigger!

I could have got a full frame pic with the kit lens on as it came past me..

Been looking at some of the other pictures on that site and the standard is phenomenal

. There are certainly some gifted shot takers there. Is this the site you mentioned a few months back where they are really picky about what photos they accept?

It is indeed, pictures have to be taken and edited to professional standards, or they don't make it in.

Some very useful tips in the FAQ there, even if your not about to try your luck with uploading.

Lots of people have pics rejected and then get mouthy about the site, coz they think their pics are the best in the world. Only about 1 in 5 submitted are accepted

I thought so. As I said, the standard is superb so their policy of only accepting the best does work.

I've over 1000 pics there now, with 1,171,766 views of the large version..

Sold a few for publishing too..............
