Post Can anyone recomend a decent online gallery for my photos

I have a load of photos i want to put online, but need a decent online gallery site.

I have tried PHOTOBUCKET, but it too busy on the screen. LOADS of adverts and people can link to the pics which i dont want.
I jsut want a site which displays the images as a gallery with the ability to open them up in full size and be able to make the gallery public or private.

Is there a site out there ??

Ta for any help.

If you use Firefox, install 'NoScript' extension. This blocks all scripts except for ones you allow, e.g. on 'photobucket', you'd allow photobucket but not the google ad script. Therefore you get no ads

In your photobucket account, click on 'account options' next to logout in top-right. Then click on 'edit my album settings'. Change drop down box from public to private. I think that should do it, not sure

Flickr has to be the best option.

A pro account will cost about £24 for two years and you get unlimited uploads, ability to show pictures in full resolution, you retain .exif information and can label them as public/private. You can also organise into sets and even place them on a map so there is a record of where they have been taken.

Brilliant site!

Re: Can anyone recomend a decent online gallery for my photos

I use Picassa already,. didnt realise it was online aswell.

As for the Firefox blocker, that would work for me, but not the other people who want to view them.

Also im looking into Flikr now.

Ta for all the suggestions.
