Question IXUS 65 - anyone have one, is it as good as it looks?

The Mrs wants a slim compact - one for the handbag me thinks - with a large screen !
Is the IXUS 65 as good as it seems on paper ?
Or should I be looking at something else?

Just how slim?!

Have a look at the Fuji F30. If its for your good lady chances are she will be wanting to take out on nights out etc, if so, it has class leading low light performance, and has won awards, so she can't go wrong. It has 6mp and a 2.5 inch LCD (big). Also simple to use.. Look for a price of around £179 or cheaper ( a bit ) online...

Re: IXUS 65 - anyone have one, is it as good as it looks?

my gf had a 60 (marginally smaller screen) something was wrong with it, blotchy pics in low light, even worse with flash. This was within a couple of weeks of getting it. Returned and swapped it for a panny fx50 which ... sadly shes only ever used in dim rooms *hospital ward during visiting evening, lounge with rubbish lighting, she has yet to test it properly but the noise in low light is pretty grim. So far shes not impressed but ill reserve judgement until i see some proper shots (as i own an amazing lx2)

otherwise i dont like canons 4:3 sensor
