is this site slow lately ???

over the last week or so i have been having problems with this site running slow, i just wondered if it was my connection or is anyone else having the same problem, it also seems to be happing on my hotmail, but i don't have a problem on any other sites i visit, does anyone have any thoughts on this

Yes, I have been finding it very slow at times over the past week or two. I know that several upgrades have been applied and wonder if that has anything to do with it, although would have thought that, if anything, upgrades should speed things up.

Incidentally, this is a strange forum to post this thread in - any particular reason for that?

Agreed... I've found it extremely slow in comparison to the other groups I follow. Glad somebody else brought it up. It started a few days ago but I can't be sure when.

no particular reason martin, just that i only really visit the photography section, apologies if i should have posted elsewhere, maybe the mods could move to the appropriate section

That's why I'm glad beachy brought it up. I follow this thread and some of the PVR stuff but had no idea where to post a query about performance. It is noticably slower than usual.

glad to hear it's not just me then, which means my neighbours don't have to worry about dodging a PC flying out of my bedroom window..... they just have to listen to the rants

so does anyone know (mods) when the site will be back to normal speed, as it is worse than dial up at the moment, sometimes i'm getting "can't display page" sign

But Admin are working on it, always the same this time of year with the increased number of visitors we get, just think yourself lucky you're not a mod as it makes the job a lot more difficult
