Acer cameras - where can I find reviews

I need to buy a new digital camera and am overwhewlmed by the sheer number of choices. Ever since I bought a Acer laptop, I've become a fan. After purchasing a DELL and Sony Vaio which both packed up on me I took purchased a Acer and touchwood it has been perfect, no problems whatsoever.
Looking on their website, they also produce a range of digital cameras. Similar to the time I purchased the laptop, I can't find any reviews of these cameras via Google.
Anyone know where I can find said reviews or if they own an Acer camera and if so, what is it like? They seem to have good specifications and are significantly cheaper than Canon and Sony models with similar specs. Why aren't there any reviews for them?
Many thanks for your help.

This might start you off.

If nothing else, you'll have to do a Google search for a specific review according to model number.

Yes, they appear a value for money buy, but don't let mega pixels alone dictate your decision. There are far more issues to consider. If you are on a tight budget, that's fair enough.

The only way to make an informed choice is to get out there and try the products out. Also, you haven't stated what features you are looking for, size, price, intended purpose. I'm not sure if there are many (if any) Acer camera owners on this forum.

Re: Acer cameras - where can I find reviews

I don't really know in terms of specifications what I want. I'm a complete novice and having been reading various buyer guides online from websites advertised in this forum.
Basically I would like a slim camera with good all-round ability to take indoor, outdoor, nighttime, moving shots, close ups and good zoom facilities. All these points towards a host of Canon models, but I thought I'd look into the Acer cameras. My budget is approx £280 so any more advice would be great!

Re: Acer cameras - where can I find reviews

In which case you will have a zillion suggestions for a zillion reasons. Have a look at this one. Way below your budget, but with as many bells and whistles as you need. Not many can outdo this model for macro (close-up) and zoom. Coupled with image stabilisation, it makes for teriffic all round package IMHO.

Sure, there are many many others, but this would make a decent benchmark if nothing else until you know exactly what you need from the camera.

Also, have a look at the other manufacturers (click manufacturer on the left, then click on 'camera').

Just my 2 doubloons worth.
