Re: EN-EL3E batteries (D80 & D200) for £16.99p!

I noticed this the other day and was very tempted. It's not a genuine Nikon battery, but has the added bonus of holding slightly more charge than the real mccoy. Would be interested to hear if anyone has puchased one and what their opinion is?

Re: EN-EL3E batteries (D80 & D200) for £16.99p!

Im slightly scared about buying non-Nikon batteries. I bought a 3rd party one for my D50.. and used it for a Wedding... i was horrified to find that it kept cutting out, losing a shed load of buffered images i had. Images i couldnt get again.

I'd just be wary.

I used one of 7dayshop's batteries in my D50 & it was BETTER than the original (lasted longer / charged quicker) but you are right that any "Non Nikon" battery has an element of risk

Also have an EN-EL3 from 7DS in a D70, at least as good as the original.

Agree there is a (slight) risk with "unbranded", but Nikon had "problems" with early D70 batteries and recalled large batches for replacement (which they handled very well, to their credit).
