HELP! footy match to cover

I Have just been asked if I can take some pictures of a 5 aside football match this afternoon.

Can anyone recomend what setting would work well for this?

the first thing you should do if kids are involved is make sure you have permission to take photos or you could end up in trouble, i no it happend to me at my sons school sports day.

Cheers, but it's adults playing.

I have tried actions shot a few time and I try to set the shutter spead to a faster settings but still end up wil blured pictures.

mind you that was on the old camera, so may be better with the new fuji

like bristol petes advice is to try and keep the ball in the picture wherever possible (for the action shots anyway) as fast a shutter speed as you can during running and then anything above 1/250th when the action slows a little. Try panning with the players while you shoot, might cut some of the blur

1/320 will normally give you still players but with a little blur on the ball, if you shoot in ap mode set to the lowest you will have the shallowest depth of field which will help isolate the players from the background a bit.
