Re: monitor colour correction???

I have a similarly priced Spyder and it seems to work reasonably well.

Re: monitor colour correction???

There are some good threads on monitor calibration and pantone huey etc on some of the 'other popular photography forums'

Re: monitor colour correction???

The chepaest way is to get a sample print from photobox.co.uk and open the online version in Photoshop and set the 2 up so they as close as possible.

Re: monitor colour correction???

I just picked up a Huey from ebay ... only £35, will let you know how I get on with it.

Even if you get charged VAT etc it'll still be a heap cheaper than the UK price.

Be interested in the results Dave. Seen mixed reviews and everyone seems to have their favourite software/method. I need to get around to doing this as photos always look different at home and work. In fact my 2 monitors at work can't even agree despite having identical settings. And don't get me started on printer profiles .... !

Re: monitor colour correction???

Well my current set-up has been done using a stick of celery, a marble and a magic enchantment (taught to me by a mysterious old lady in a wood). I reckon when this Huey thing turns up I'll no doubt prefer my mystical method and will ignore its settings altogether. But hey, it's only £35.
