Re: remote control

The plug on the TC-80N3 is not compatible with the 350D which requires a mini jack plug to connect. You need one of these , a cheap model or the Canon offering or maybe one of these.

Re: remote control

Does that model work with the 300D?

I have the Canon RS-80N3, with my 20D. I find it very useful. It's simple but very effective.

Re: remote control

You could always use the self timer for landscapes (assuming the 350D has a self timer).

No. The 350D uses a mini jack plug/socket for the remote control.

The 10D/20D/30D et al use a much larger three pin connector for the remote switch/control. See picture below...

tony79 - I was after something similar for my D200 & was advised this was a good one (there is also one for the 350D) albeit a bit expensive (!) Shipping is free though (?)

Never used the company before but they were good enough to contact me when they got some stock in - HTH ... Paul

Re: remote control

I use the RC-1 but that would be unsuitable as you need to be in front of the camera. Why they didn't reproduce the sensor on the back I don't know

Tony79, if you look back at my original reply you will see I suggested three choices for your 350D, two corded and one wireless.

The Canon corded product is the RS-60E3. More sophisticated remotes for your camera do not seem to be available.

Re: remote control

I have a RS-60E3 at home - but no longer have a 350D. If anyone's interested i'll dig it out and put an ad in the classifieds.
