New camera????

Still after a compact camery to suppliment my 30D.

I would say the ultimate megapixels are not important say 5 minimum.

What is importants is the following:

Quick start up
Quick processor - ability to take a picture
Good macro
Good quality LCD screen
Would prefer somit that goes in the pocket

Re: New camera????

Have a read into the Fuji F30, the Macro might not go the closest, and the burst shooting mode is limited, other than this it ticks all the right boxes and is a quality little camera.

If your interested i'll post some more info about it later, but I have to go and get my Mac D's brekkie before they stop serving it

Trouble is which reviews do you trust. I see in the September Digital Camera Shopper they give the Panny FX01 just 3 stars and the Casio Z1000 a full 5 gold stars. I've got other mags that put them completely the opposite.

Confused me enough to not know which to get to replace a Canon Ixus 400. Therefore put the compact purchase on hold and bought myself a 30D today to replace my bridge camera and EOS300 film.

Hi

Nothing to do with your thread i'm afraid, but as you have a 30D, how are your pics in auto mode compared to manual modes, mine appear very dark, please see thread - Faulty Canon 30D
