I have only recently started to buy my camera gear and Im quite pleased with my first panoramic shot. Please feel free to comment / criticise

Taken with a Canon EOS 350D , and EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens.

I first tried stitching together the images with Photomerge in Photoshop CS2 , but I wasnt happy with the different exposure levels of each image . So I tried Autopano Pro and it seems to have sorted the mismatches with brightness and overlaps.

To me that seems like a strange choice of lens for a panorama but I think it's a great picture - I'd be very happy with it!

How many frames did you stitch together to form that final picture?

It was the only lens I had with me at the time. I stitched 8 images together to create it.

Brilliant! Well done.

I tried one or two from a recent canal holiday - stitching them manually - so I know how tricky they are to get right.

Great pic. I love the northern dales like Swaledale and Wenslydale and up towards Teesdale where it gets really remote. Haven't tried a panorama since I got CS2 but your pic has made me want to try it soon.
