Crazy?

Hi,

I've not posted in this forum before, probably because my interest in photography only stretches back marginally more time than it has taken to write this.

Other than my camera phone I have not taken a picture in my life other than for the odd passing group of tourists. However, I'm in a new job which will take me to some of the further flung places in Europe, CIS, MEA et al and I decided on a whim that I need to take some photos while I'm out and about.

Anyway a friend who is a professional advisd medium format after questioning my motives about the type of work I would like to do.

So, I took the plunge and bought a Bronica set up from e bay and am shortly going to receive the gear (se attaced)

Obviously I could have gone digital and no doubt I will rue the day I didn't, but, too many things come too easily these days and I want to suffer for my new found art!

Crazy, probably, but I'm looking forward to it.

Chris

Look forward to seeing some of the results - hope you're planning to post some (assuming you're not too knackered after lugging that lot around Europe!!).

it arrived

Thanks for the sentiments. it arrived today covered in the world's largest concentration of bubble wrap, very well packed and welllooked after. Thanks again Michael!.

I've unpacked it all and figured out what most of it is albeit, I haven't a clue how to load film into it! Anyway the guy two doors up is el President of local photo society and I've asked hime for a few pointers which he is going to provide on Friday.

Next stop, find a good lab, build dark room and take up weights cos as you say, its no featherweight!

Chris
