Panaramics

Does any one have any info on how to do professional style panaromics, i understand there is a device u can buy which you fix your camera to and attach to a tripod, also which is the best software to use to do this.

The new photshop has it built in, photoshop CS under automate.

There is Panorama factory - free 30 day trial, very good but takes more effort
Autostitch is another one - free.
Also found PTGui - industry leading software
And Panoweaver

The is a good one on PTGui of the dolomite moutains using 206 photos with a total of 863 mega pixels.

You are best to use a tripod to keep the horizon level and overlap by about 30%.
