Canon owners - what about this telephoto?

http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Prod...PageID=26126#1

Never heard of this before until I went to the Canon website yesterday. Apparently they are built to order, cost £50,000 and there are only 10 in existence. Start saving those pennies!

And this is how silly you'd look using it

Apparently it comes with its own tripod! Bargain! Now if only Canon would include lens hoods as standard...

it'll come with a lens hood because its an L lens.

funny how its compatible with their 1.4 and 2x convertors, just in case 1200mm isn't enough for you, you can have a 2400mm f11!

dont believe that about only 10 in existence, you telling me that they have pictures of at least half of those lenses in use? dont think so. Im sure theres sports photographers that could pay for that lens in a couple of decent photos

They've discontinued the lens for a start, plus 1,200mm is far too long for your average sports match (although apparently Sports Illustrated own 2).

that surely was a lens for the paparazzi.
one shot of wills or harry with a bird would pay it off ten times.
