Hi,
I have had my dsc-p92 for a few years now and apart from the shutter speed being slow it has been an ace camera. Until today I turned it on and the lens came out as usual and it stuck out and turned itself off !!! then everytime i press the on button it makes the somewhat anoying sony turning on noise but thats it.

It never actually turns on and the lens is just stuck out as if it is in full zoom.

Does anybody know of any reset or have any advice for me ? I love this camera. Cheers.

Just a thought, but could the batteries need charging?

The reason I mentioned the batteries is because the Zoom on my Sony stuck in the out position once due to the batteries being flat.

Have you tried setting your dial to Set-Up and then switch the camera on. This should allow the lens to shut without using too much power from the batteries. Your problem has afflicted my DSC-P73 a few times and it has ALWAYS been a battery problem.

FIXED IT Ok now im always telling people that violence and technology do not make good bed fellows, however I lost my rag and banged it on my desk and it went back in
