Have a problem with my 350D

At the end of March I went to New York for a week and took close to 2000 shots (will post the best ones in my album thread soon!)

During my week in NY I frequently had a problem with my 350D. I would press the shutter, everything would freeze and on the display I would get an Er-99 message. I wouldn't be able to take any more shots. The only way to get the 350D to work again would be to turn off the cam, take the lens off, put it back on and turn the cam back on.

It was very annoying and happened about 6 or 7 times during the week. Everytime it happened the CF card still had space, the battery was charged and it happened with both my 18-55 USM and f1.8 50 lenses.

Anyone got any ideas what was going wrong?

I had a similar problem but it turned out my CF card was knackered.

If you do a search on it you will find a number of solutions including cleaning the lens contacts, remounting the lens and removing and replacing the CF card.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will keep a note of when it happens and then call Canon support.
