Question Fuji Finepix F610 overexposing, how to fix?

I have bought a Fuji FinePix F610. For some reason after about 6 months use it started to over expose, even under manual operation. The only time i get a decent picture is in the evening using flash.

Before i throw away, (it costs £170 to repair and it cost £270) i am looking for perhaps something that I can check that is not in User Manual as to what the fault may be.

Any help most appreciated

Peter

If you chek the speed, f stop and they seem to be OK, then it is probably knackered. Try taking the battery out overnight.

Does your model have exposure compensation settings? Perhaps you've accidentally set it to overexpose?

Red face No guarantee

I bought the camera while in Taiwan about 2 years ago, but the camera had its fault about a year ago. While it worked it was great, so many excellent functions, was like a compact SLR.

I suppose that's hat happens when you try to economise and buy abroad.

Hoping taking the battery out works, will see in the weekend when I have a chance to try in daylight. Next job will be trying to remeber how to put int English Mode, default is Japanese, and after battery is removed this is what comes up, still can refer to Instructions downloaded from Internet (Japanese user manual is useless.
