Panasonic DMW-RS1 Remote Shutter for DMC-FZ30?

I have had an DMC-FZ30 but I can't seem to find anyway of operating the shutter release remotely. I would have thought that a camera that this serious model for photograhers would have this ability. Will the Panasonic DMW-RS1 Remote help me take pictures without touching the camera ...

If I have missed something obvious feel free to tell me..

I just use the 3 second timer on my FZ-5

I think you are missing something.........
If you notice, your camera has a Remote port under the DC in Cover.
Considering that the DMW RS1 has the words "remote" and "shutter" in its description.............
