Canon lens

Thanks for all your thoughts on the kit lens with the Canon 350D. I have decided to add to this lens either the EF 28-105mm USM 4-5.6 or the 28-135mm IS USM 4-5.6. Which should I go for?

Have you been to the various review sites? Fred Miranda is a good place to start. Your first option does not seem to have a high score in the reviews.
Your choices seem more towards replacing the kit lens that adding to it as there is a large overlap in ranges.

I have the Tamron 28-75 XR Di which is f2.8 throughout its range and can produce some impressive results. This was my replacement for the kit lens.

28-135 is great, better range than the 28-105, better qualilty, IS very handy, but can't comment with regards to tamron comparison.
