i was trying to make a rather grained up black and white image that put empthesis on the band and the venue, what do people think, i like it

They look so identical to me mate i can't tell them apart. Post one with no grain in to compare

I've never been into B/W but in the spirit of trying to understand why everybody else seems to like it I've been reading this POTN thread which goes into different methods of conversion and controlling contrast.

I have even seen a few B/W images that I like there!

What makes grain in the image was discussed somewhere too though I wasn't paying too much attention to that.

Might be worth a read.... but it's very long.
