I've read about this. It's down to the Lexar cards in the case of the 20D, 350D, as there have been no problems with Sandisk cards.

Read something that they have changed the software on the cards now to get around this. Apparently its something to do with the card not the camera.

ive had no problems with my lexar and my 20D, so i wasnt gonna risk being short of a card
