canon powershot A70-lcd problem

hi guys,

my canon A70's lcd not reading, black. the only picture i could get was the welcome pic. however, the function commands are working and i can toggle around the modes.

can't read memory card when inserted. no memory card indicator came on. can still trigger the shoot button and flash will fire.

anyone familiar with this problem?
