Can somebody recomend an online APS scanner serivce

I have around 20 APS developed films that I would like converted to CD. I have found one company that will do a 24 film for 10 pounds. This is just too expensive.
Has anybody else done this.
The cheapest APS scanners are around 250 and I guess they would be a hastle to do.
Any help would be appreciated

A work friend of mine just went through this investigation now he's moving over to digital and wants to scan in all his existing APS stuff.

Seems all the services are charging a similar amount to what you've found. Not sure how many different services 'all' covers (maybe just one!).

In the end he gave up and has ordered a Canon film scanner with APS capability. He intends to sell it on after he's finished with it, so keep your eyes on ebay if you want a bargain

I think the film scanning services charge so much because it can be a very slow process (as long as 10mins/frame if scanning at the highest resolutions). Not sure how accurate this is as it's just something I've picked up from the web, I haven't tried to do it myself. Maybe someone else can verify this.

So, if you're thinking of getting a scanner, it might be worthwhile getting one that can batch scan. For example, Jessops do a Primefilm 3650 Pro, which can batch scan up to 40 frames if they are on a continuous roll, which I guess APS is if the film is taken out. It does cost around £270, but you might be able to get one cheaper in the january sales, or on ebay, or find something similar elsewhere.

Good point, If it takes a long time, then I simply don't have the time.
I'm just trying to consolidate all of my prints into one nice medium.
I will try the high street stores (boots/jessops) to see what services they have to offer.
Many thanks
