Writing JPEGs to Sony memory stick

Does anyone know how to write jpg files onto a Sony memory stick such that it will play the slideshow on a Sony TV. The TV instructions imply that only files writen directly to the stick from a Sony camera will work, whereas we want to copy files from a PC (previously from a Canon camera) onto the stick.

I'm sure this must be do-able.
