Question Canon Ixus 500

Can anyone help me with this matter! I have just bought a new CANON IXUS 500 Digital camera. The thing is when I have the camera on for more than 20 minutes it seems to get very warm on the front metal body. I don’t know if this is the norm!!!
I would like to find out before I take it back…
I used to have a FUJI A204 Digital camera and this never overheated. I don’t know if it’s because the CANON has a Lithium-ion battery as the FUJI only had the 2 AA batteries!

My Ixus 400 does exactly the same. Never caused any problems.

I too have noticed how warm my Ixus 400 gets when heavily used. Despite this it has given me excellent use. Look on the bright side, it makes a great hand warmer if your out on a cold day

My 400 also does the same, when I was reading reviews this was one of the things that I picked up on, that they do seem to run warm.
