Hi
Can anyone advise me of a totally waterproof camera (up to around £400.00) I need it for a holiday in which I intend to take pictures of my family swimming in the sea?

I don't know if you can buy a waterproof camera, but what you can do is get a waterproof houseing to put the camera in such as:

The above is just an example of what is available and may well be available cheaper if bought from another e-tailer etc.
The advantage of going this route is that you also have a very good camera for everyday use.

There is a similar 'waterporof housing jobby' available for the Olympus Mju 300. I would reccomend trying to get hold of one well in advance of when u leave though.

Alternatively Pentax do a 'water resistant' model, whilst u wont be able to dive underwater with it as far as I can tell it should suffice for holding above water in the sea and taking some snaps.

You can buy totally waterproof cameras. A couple I know have a driving camera they use on holidays. I've been on holiday with them a few times and they always take it and use it as a normal camera. Pictures are OK. Not sure, I think it's a Minolta.

I'll ask him where he got it. Probably a Paddy dive shop.

I've got a case for my Canon S45 and wouldn't be without it now...
No worries about being on the beach (sand and sea wise) as well as the benefit of some very original pictures..!!!
I've also got an EWA Marine Case for my Camcorder... another thing I wouldn't be without either... same reasons as above.....
Even the Mrs thinks both were good purchases...!!!
