Nikon D5000 £300 on Amazon.co.uk marketplace. Too good to be true?

Considering buying a Nikon D5000, and when I looked at on Amazon, one of the marketplace sellers ("HORIZONS-USA") is selling the D5000, new, with the standard 18-55mm VR lens for £300, shipped from the US.

Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: Nikon D5000 Digital SLR Camera (18-55 mm VR Lens Kit)

When I looked at what else they're selling, they also have the canon eos 500d for £350.

Having looked on the various US site (B&H, 17th St, etc), I've not seen these that cheap in the US, so something about says too good to be true to me, but they do have a 98% rating on amazon market place, and it would be covered by the amazon marketplace guarantee.

By any chance has anyone bought from them?

Also, for these prices, would you go for the Nikon or the Canon?

Ordering from the USA

Ahoy!

Prices in the USA can be up to 33% cheaper than the UK for certain items. That said, if you do order from over the pond, you'll be hit with high shipping charges and no doubt 15% VAT and a customs release fee once it arrives in the UK. Then there's the time it'll take to clear customs.

Chances are, you'll be worse off, or at least no better off than buying from HK/UK/EU. Also consider that warranty from the USA is generally for redemption in the States only, not Worldwide/UK/EU.

Check OneStopDigital and use these guys or at least their prices as a benchmark.

Seems too good to be true....they are selling a used D60 for only £80 less than the D5000. Something not right for sure. They are £200 cheaper than anyone else on Amazon. I wonder if they mean D3000?
