Question Macro for Pentax

Looking to get a macro lens for the Pentax K20D.
Got these two in my sights...

Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro
Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro

Would the 50mm double up as a good portrait lens?
Can only really afford the 50mm but is it worth paying the extra bucks for the 105mm lens?

Thanx

Re: Macro for Pentax

Given the choice I would take the Tamron 90mm over those 2 lenses.
The 50mm is too short for most things interesting (I have one and never use it as you need to get too close to insects .. which frightens them off)), the 105mm is a good lens but no better than the Tamron 90mm which is cheaper and a slightly better length for portrait shots.

Ahoy!

90-105mm makes more sense. 50mm would be far to close to your subject (especially for bugs etc). Also consider the Tamron SP 90mm Di f/2.8.

OSD have both for the K-mount. Sigma and Tamron.

Re: Macro for Pentax

I wanted something a bit wider with macro and just bought a Pentax DA 35mm f2.8 Macro LTD lens ... it's a little beauty and I can certainly recommend it if you want something similar at a later date.
