| Colour through viewfinder?
OK, so this is a strange one. Can anyone explain this to me?
I was out with the camera tonight with my brother in law. He has a Canon 450d with the 18-55 IS lens, I have a Sony A700 with a Sigma 17-70.
Anyway, the sun is setting and the sky lights up a beautiful pink. We both snap away. I am noticing that the colour through my viewfinder is rather less pink than what I'm seeing with the naked eye. I point this out to the brother in law, and he says it looks fine to him. So I look through his viewfinder and sure enough, the colour in the sky is far more vivid than through mine. The sky through my viewfinder looks a lot bluer, with the pink stretching much less far up the sky if that makes sense.
So obviously the first thought is that it must be a filter, but we both have just a UV filter on the camera. I even took mine off as a sanity check.
So, does anyone have any suggestion for why this might be happening? Is it a coating on my lens or something?
