Recommend a simple, cheap camera

Hi,

Been a while since I did any digital camera research, but my Mum wants a new model to replace her very old 1.2MP camera.

She's specified:
* Must have a reasonable zoom
* Not too expensive - ideally £50-100 and cheaper the better
* "Idiot Proof"

Any suggestions for a good value camera in this price range?

Cheers,
Matt

I note that some retailers are still selling the older A470 model - does anyone know if, besides the extra 3MP, there are any other major improvements in the newer model?

The main difference is the size and weight

Weight (inc. batteries) 215 g vs 140 g
Dimensions 105 x 55 x 41 mm vs 92 x 62 x 31 mm

One recommended from reviews:

Fuji FinePix A920

And guess what? You can buy it direct from Fuji for £50.00 with free delivery. Most websites list it at over £100.00. Bargain!

That's a pretty solid suggestion, thanks! Since size & weight isn't an issue, it looks like it comes down to a toss-up between this and the A470. Any thoughts on that comparison?
