I am in Cornwall - maybe a bit too far for you 
Two other tips - Hampton Court Palace or Barnes Wetlands.

Dont think I will get the chance this weekend as today shopping for BBQ, as daughter is having 16 of her friends round tomorrow for their school leaving party and tomorrow I'm the chef for said BBQ  might be able to slip a beer or 3 down my neck as I'm cooking

Tezza | Try and find Surreys Highest Waterfall. Not that much to look at, at about 40ft, but its great to find it and you can get some good shots from it.
