Ebay DSLR Refurbs & Imports

Does anyone have any experience of these they could share?

I'm looking at some of the Nikon D80, Canon 450D etc refurbs on ebay. I amazed that there's so many of them, the refurb departments at both places must be rushed off their feet if they're all genuine.

They mostly come with a 90 days seller warranty, which I imagine isn't worth the paper it's written on, could be wrong. Normally a refurb product still has the full year manufacturers warranty and the ones on the Canon Outlet come with one of those.

Any thoughts appreciated.

canon uk have an ebay shop i nearly bought a lens from them, i'd have no problems buying direct from them.

If you are look at other retailers ask what they mean by 'refurb' it could just mean a clean.

The Canon outlet is definitely run by Canon UK as I once discussed it with Canon support during a conversation about the repair cost for my Ixus i Zoom vs. a cheaper refurb

I've bought Fuji cameras from Morgan Computers which were packed as factory refurbishments but were actually store stock returns from when Fuji updated their lines. Apart from the boxes saying it was a refurb they were as good as new - and cheaper!
